Making Bank with a Minimum Viable Product

A minimum viable product (MVP) is a profitable online product that takes minimum effort to organize and doesn't require you to have a full blown online product made yet.

CHARGE FOR A 1:1 CALL 📞

People are paying to talk with experts in different niches ALL THE TIME.

Just think about a person you've met before who made you wish that you could pick their brain for an hour or two. 

You might have been that person before for some people looking for help in your expertise area. 

So instead of giving your knowledge away for free, you can charge within reason for your time, just like you do in the clinic (as long as you clarify that this doesn't replace formal therapy services).💡

My general rule of thumb is to begin by charging for a 1:1 coaching call the same as your current hourly clinical rates.

For example, if you charge $50 for your hourly rate in the clinic now, you can start with charging your online calls at $50/hour too and then work your way up to $100 or $150 per hour. 

These calls can take place anywhere you and your clients feel comfortable communicating like a formal zoom call or an informal phone call. 

CHARGE FOR A GROUP CALL 🗣️

If you want to impact more people all at one time, you can organize a group coaching call instead of a 1:1 call. 

For group calls, you can get away with charging less per person so that more people will sign up.

Now we are no longer thinking in the employee mindset where your employer only pays you a fraction of what they're making. 

This is also a great way to form connections with people and build rapport (just like you would with patients in the clinic).

Especially if people are CONSTANTLY asking if they can "pick your brain". 

Now you can do that.. but actually get paid for your time and value.

CHARGE FOR A GROUP CHAT 🤳

If talking live on a group or 1:1 call gives you the jitters, you can still provide value in an interactive group chat instead. 

This gives people direct access to you in a safe space like Facebook group messenger or any other communication platform that doesn't give away your personal phone number. 

And you have full control of the conversation and people who join. 

You can drop in everyday and answer any questions people may have on your niche area. 

You can charge as low as $10, $15, or $20+ a month for this group chat membership. 

Let's do some easy math with this:

If you charge $10/month for a group text messaging service and you have 20 people in the group chat, you make $200/month for answering questions for a total of around one hour a month.

This is also another great way to build rapport and provide value but on the go if you can't arrange a time to sit down for an hour a month to answer people's questions live.

TOOLS YOU'LL NEED TO SET UP AN MVP ⚙️

There are 3 main tools you need to have set up to start making money with an MVP today:

1. A communication platform

2. A payment source

3. and a scheduling app

For collecting payments, we recommend setting up a Stripe or Paypal account, but you can use any legitimate business payment system you feel most comfortable with receiving money on.

For scheduling, you can use free or low cost apps like Calendly, Acuity, or even Google calendar booking system to book calls.

These platforms generate a booking link for you based on your busy schedule so people can schedule a call in a very short clicks. 

What's great about many of these scheduling apps is that if you connect your zoom account in settings, the scheduling app will automatically create a zoom link for your 1:1 calls and send it in a confirmation email to you and your client. 

Same thing with payment: You can connect your Calendly account with Stripe so that people can pay to sign up for your call without leaving the same page. 

These automations are a MUST HAVE!!

They save you SO much time from doing these mindless administrative tasks which you can spend better on actually providing value directly to your client.
